Frugalistas!  Shopping cheap isn’t necessarily saving you money.  In most cases, you get what you pay for.  Short of amazing thrift and consignment finds, end of the season and going out of business sales, shopping cheap translates to purchasing disposable clothing.  Disposable clothing are those items that hold up for one or two washes or maybe a season, if you’re lucky.

Big spenders!  If you’ve got it like that, go for it!  But, keep in mind, paying top dollar for clothing only makes sense when you’re buying investment pieces.  Investment pieces are items that are timeless because of superior quality and classic (or unique) style.  It’s those go to items that have a permanent place in your closet.  Even those, for whom money is no object, may find it frivolous to spend a lot of money on an item that will soon be passe.

My general rule when shopping is, spend more on classic pieces and spend less on trend items.
