On March 28th, the Maryland Black Mayor’s Honor’s Gala took place at Camelot of Upper Marlboro.  This year’s theme was a Red Carpet Gala to celebrate outstanding community leaders and raise the capital needed to fund academic scholarships for students in the represented municipalities.  The scholarship awards were presented LIVE at the Gala.

The event was well attended including esteemed guests Del. Jolene Ivey, Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown, and Sen. Victor Ramirez.  A very special thanks to Mayor Kito James (Capitol Heights) and the Maryland Black Mayors for inviting Majic’s own April Watts to serve as host for such a momentous ocassion.  Photos are compliments of Maurice G. Fitzgerald.
